How I Got To Greece

Classic Santorinni

In 2006 my sister asked me to go to Greece with her – out of the blue, no warning.

I said no, then went anyway.

I stayed three weeks, she stayed four.

This is a work in progress and these are my photos, notes and scribbles from the trip.

UPDATE: January 2016, this is still far from a complete account of our trip.

This photo taken on a plastic patio table and without flash. The stones are 1/2 to 1 inch sized. Notice the center stone.

Peering at Santorini first thing in a morning, out my port, on a wooden sailing ship.   May 2007

Great photos, I’d like to see more of them and to hear of your impressions of Santorini and Lesvos, home of Sappho’s school for girls, and wherever else you went there.

I’d love to show you more photos sometime. It was a really cool trip. I only wish there was time to get them all posted here, along with my notes and diary of the 3 weeks.

      Thanks for looking in Eileen.

Tristan Sammons is going to Greece for a whirl wind 10 days in February with a school trip, We are hoping that he returns with long memories and nice pictures. His travel opportunities are so very different since we moved to Alaska than what we knew on the farm.
